Voting for Donnie Short Fingers was not an accident.

It's not like they were walking down the street, tripped, fell into a voting booth and accidentally hit their head on the Trump button.

It was a conscious, premeditated action. They listened to all that hate, bigotry, bullying, racism and fascism and said; "sure, that's the direction I want the country to go"

Fuck every last one of them sideways with a First Edition hard cover copy of Atlas Shrugged.

Every society reaches the point where some sort of 'purge' is necessary otherwise a war breaks out. War has been an all to frequent theme in human history.
I think unfortunately we will come to a point, maybe trump has already forced us there, where we will have to peacefully, re-educate, reform, or restrain a significant portion of that third of society who sees and deals with the world the wrong way.
Luckily the two thirds of us who see things the right way are compassionate and instead of a bloody war we can engineer a peaceful solution.

The best way to un-brainwash the country is for each one of us to go out and tell everyone we know to stop watching Fox and listening to Limbaugh and right-wing radio.

When you go somewhere and Fox is on - walk up to the owner and say something like "I don't want lies like this on while my kids are around, will you please turn off the TV?"

Instead of talking to your family members about politics - tell them how Limbaugh lies. "Remember when Limbaugh said Hurricane Irma was a liberal hoax and then three days later he evacuated without ever correcting himself? He tells lies about politics like that every day."

I know it's uncomfortable. But if you want to un-brainwash people you MUST engage them on propaganda. Friends don't let friends watch Fox or listen to Limbaugh or read Breitbart or other right wing sources.

Every deplorable I know here in northern New Jersey, including my family and neighbors, have expressed extreme racist views towards African-Americans & Hispanics. These people are wealthy and educated but as stated above watch faux news and hated the fact that we had an African- American President for eight yrs.
A woman didn't stand much of a chance in their eyes either.
They will never change their racist views & pass it down to their children. They are unreachable and are not able to be reasoned with or changed.

All over the country, Democrats and progressives have been taking over city councils, mayorships, school boards, and country supervisor positions, as well as making inroads on statewide legislative offices. For instance, in Westchester County, just outside of NYC, the Democrats swept all but TWO seats in EVERY city in every council member and mayor race, and while they were Democrat majority already, they had swept out EVERY republican from office, making this a progressive lockdown that will never go back.

This is happening ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.

While we will get a big win in 2018 when we retake the senate, the hammer blow will occur when we win the presidency with Kamala Harris, indict every Trump family member, and retake the Senate with a near-60% majority, along with a healthy House majority. At that point, the Republicans will be COMPLETELY spent, and our guys will enact judicial reforms and restructure voting protocols to ensure the GOP remains forever on the outside looking in.

Mark my words! The GOP is definitely snookered, permanently.

Some diehard Trump supporters will never change their minds

Others will experience inner conflicts; then they'll move to weak support for him; then they'll move to into some "uncertain" position (such as refused-to-answer-pollster or all-politicians-are-crooks); then they'll head for weak opposition to him. This group might well be influenced by friends and neighbors drifting from Trumplandia into saner regions, so take aim at the mushy center

When we're back in power, they would cower to us if we act strong and cruel enough. Thankfully, that isn't in our nature.

Personally, I'm just hoping that the failure of Trumpism will permanently discourage a significant number of these people from ever getting involved in the political process again. I'll be more than satisfied for them to slink off into their holes, muttering "it's all rigged". I know we'll never get them to embrace our values.
