He is gone, our other Senators can't get rid of him soon enough. In the end we will find out the real truth but I have a feeling Al wasn't as well liked as many here believed.

He said 'in the coming weeks.'

After the Alabama election the political climate may change for him.

His reason was that he could not fight the false allegations and be an effective Senator. He was far more effective than most Senators in my opinion. He did not resign, just said that he would. The door is not all the way closed.

He has given his critics nothing to fight with, so now discussion only works against against his accusers.
