She once called rape survivors a "special interests group" and tried to eliminate funding for rape crisis centers in SC. She is an opportunistic pig.

Rumor has it graham is interested in Sec of State. If he leaves the senate you can bet your bottom dollar she will run. Trump is toxic, so getting fired by him, while appearing to stand with women is her in.

IMO if she truly believed this and the other stands she has taken contrary to the tRump administration policies she would have been critical before he became president and not be serving under this administration. Anyone appointed by tRump has lost all credibility with me.

She accepted an appointment from tRump knowing full well who and what he was and what chaos he would cause. She did it thinking to further her political career and now is starting to realize it was probably a serious mistake. She is in CYA mode. No thanks.

however, she had hit the ceiling in Republican politics in South Carolina and term-limited. McMaster wanted the Governor's chair and was asked first by the Trump team to join them; he declined.

BTW, she was a typical Rep. governor prior to the Charleston Nine. She personally knew Rev. Clementa Pinckney and it affected her state outlook.

Also a better governor than the previous Republican in both Carolinas. Not saying much, but it could be worse.

Tricky Nikki was my governor for 1 1/2 terms. She has no politics or morals - everything she does is carefully calculated to promote herself.
Either Trump OKed this to give the illusion that he allows mild dissent, or she thinks any repercussions because of it will further her personal agenda. She assumes that 1) the GOP ticket will be open in 2020, or, 2) she plans to run for Lindsey’s seat.

But then she didn’t have to get mixed up in it in the first place. So it’s a little hard to work up any sympathy. She does have a deer in the headlights look most of the time so I ‘m sure she has had second thoughts about the whole thing.

Voted against her twice. Besides giving SC away to Boeing, who after just a few years started laying off a bunch of people.

Worthless. She was cheating on her hubby, but they closed down that story. Of course, her hubby , who was something in the military had to go do a tour on a remote.

Yep, right. Worthless, always.
