I laughed at this and want to continue laughing, but it's actually critically important to realize that there is a huge religious component to what's happening on the right.

We can't fight and warn people of the religious fervor that is uniting with other authoritarian forces against democracy if we don't recognize it ourselves. And its signs are everywhere.
