His base is an irrational cult. Psychologically speaking, the more you push someone into believing something they were against only serves to make them even more stubborn and they dig their heels in deeper and they fight harder to prove they are right.

What counts is who we select to go up against him in 2020, and that's figuring we won't get enough to impeach and remove him before then. The process we use to select that person is important, too. It needs to be seen as fair, and it needs to involve enough civility to allow the factions for all of the losing candidates to be able to come together in full support of the eventual nominee.
