...I always question why nobody attacked this guy. I’d like to think that if I was sitting within a few feet of the exit and a guy comes in and throws a tear gas grenade over my head I’d jump him. However, considering this guy looked like a SWAT team member, I probably would have sat there and let him shoot me.

And that is one of the major problems we have in this country. We’ve allowed our police to become jack booted Nazis and we cower in their presence. When a person can come through the exit door of a crowded theater dressed in assault gear we’ve been conditioned to believe the guy is a cop. Cops shouldn’t be dressed like Nazis.
