The Secretary of State will certify the election and that will be that. Moore can sit on Sassy sucking his thumb and waving his arms in despair but Jones will still be the duly elected Senator for Alabama. The sooner he figures that out, the sooner he can mosey on out to pasture and leave us all the hell alone with his nonsense.

Based on Tuesday night, he's no longer "off book" on the Good Book.

I think Moore’s inner circle looks as crazed as he is. If they break out into a sing a long to “Rock of Ages” look out.

or R is backing his request. They've all effectively told Moore "it's over, you lost, go home".

If he gets funding for, and files for a recount on the last day possible, that will delay certifying the vote. It keeps a Strange situation (yeah, I intended the pun!) in the Senate, giving the Republicons some extra time to get their tax shenanigans accomplished.

I don't think that it will work, but I'm not surprised that somebody's put Moore up to trying this.
