by Aidan McLaughlin | 8:22 am, December 14th, 2017
Omarosa Manigault appeared on Good Morning America Thursday to give her account of the mystery and supposed drama surrounding her ouster from the White House.
The former Apprentice star, who served a tempestuous almost-year in in the White House as Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison, pushed back against the myriad of reports that indicated her resignation was a messy affair (some even suggested Secret Security physically dragged her out.)
I resigned, and I didnt do that in the Residence as being reported, Omarosa told ABCs Michael Strahan. Manigault described reports to the contrary as 100% false, claiming she calmly discussed her resignation with Chief of Staff John Kelly in the Situation Room. Manigault claimed that she wanted to last a year in the White House before going back to her life, which is why her resignation is slated for January 20.
She also took aim at old White House foe April Ryan, correspondent at American Urban Radio Networks, who led the charge on reports that Manigaults exit was a messy one.
Lets be clear, only one person, Manigault asserted, no one else has reported what shes reporting. And this is the one person who has attacked me for the past year so you know this is personal. (Fact check: a number of outlets reported Manigault was removed from the White House in a less than ceremonious fashion.)

(102,292 posts)that she was fired IN PUBLIC in front of 600 people as she states. I also believe that when you go to a social event at the WH, that you don't get to keep your phone with you, so her assertion that "where are the pictures/videos" is so blatant. Of course Kelley fired her one on one in private (or possibly with a person or two who normally participate in separation process).
Uggh, if she handed me currency, I'd assume it was fake. I surely don't believe a word out of her mouth.

(129,096 posts)She said that there was no "vendetta" (Madison played the clip from Omarosa for April) but said that her job is to report stories of what was going on at the WH. She mentioned that other outlets eventually reported the story including CBS.
April also said that overnight after Tuesday's election, her text & twitter feeds blew up about something going on and she had to dig to find out who they were talking about before she finally put out her "exclusive". She also said she got 2 tweets from the Secret Service to request corrections of her initial report (i.e., that they weren't the ones to escort Omarosa out) but nothing that disputed the original context of the story.
