Fights on, folks. Were down but not beaten yet.
Schneiderman, a Democrat, said in a statement that states will sue to stop the FCCs illegal rollback of net neutrality.
The American Civil Liberties Union also pledged a court fight after the 3-2 vote and a trade group representing companies like Facebook Inc and Alphabet Inc said it opposed the reversal and was weighing legal options. (Reporting by David Shepardson; Editing by Meredith Mazzilli)

(19,565 posts)Its not going to happen. However, a lot of average people see the potential for abuse here on both sides of the aisle.
So, were not out of the fight yet.

(19,565 posts)I admit I run with more than an average amount of people in the tech industry, but even my not tech clients and acquaintances were worried about selective choking of their bandwidth. So, different concerns, but both arent supportive of the repeal.
People seem to want the internet managed more like a utility overall.

It affects everyone who runs an Etsy store.

(6,904 posts)The two AG's preceding him left the AG to run for Governor and win. They are Democrats, too.

(3,742 posts)"Todays vote also follows a public comment process that was deeply corrupted, including two million comments that stole the identities of real people. This is a crime under New York law and the FCCs decision to go ahead with the vote makes a mockery of government integrity and rewards the very perpetrators who scammed the system to advance their own agenda.
This is not just an attack on the future of our internet. Its an attack on all New Yorkers, and on the integrity of every American's voice in government and we will fight back.
Lock the scammers up!
