...what a hap, hap, HAPPY day for AT&T, Comcast, and Verizon. Ajit Pai, kiss my ass.

The approval of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s proposal marked a victory for internet service providers like AT&T Inc, Comcast Corp and Verizon Communications Inc and hands them power over what content consumers can access.

Democrats, Hollywood and companies like Google parent Alphabet Inc and Facebook Inc had urged Pai, a Republican appointed by U.S. President Donald Trump, to keep the Obama-era rules barring service providers from blocking, slowing access to or charging more for certain content.

Consumer advocates and trade groups representing content providers have planned a legal challenge aimed at preserving those rules.

The meeting was evacuated before the vote for about 10 minutes due to an unspecified security threat, and resumed after law enforcement with sniffer dogs checked the room.

Why would the repeal of regulation of your internet service provider cause you to stop using content companies that are delivered via the Internet?

Who knew I could hate ATT and Verizon even more than I ALREADY hated them all those times I waited for hours and days at a time on hold while my life slowly ticked away to get some stupid problem with my billing resolved? I hope they all choke on their own bile, greed, evil and hypocrisy and die a long and painful death. Which will be streamed live on the internet to keep the masses entertained. Because they like the free market so much, we will allow corporate sponsorship of the event or do it pay-per-view.

They can, however, pass legislation that would have made President Obama's rules into laws. That will not happen with the current Congress, needless to say.

You can change channels to the middle of a program, and some programs allow you to stream back to the beginning to replay the show from the beginning, but no recording or fastforwarding. Lately, if I try, I get an internet message telling me my internet isn't fast enough. It used to be.
