Something more than Paul Ryan eventually retiring!
I hope Jared gets indicted.

By the way, without any shred of evidence, I believe Mr. Mueller has already indicted Trump and it's among the sealed indictments Mr. Mueller has already filed. I've read that such an action would protect Mr. Mueller from being fired and it would supersede any pardon Trump would try to grant.
Unseal the indictments after Trump leaves office and can be prosecuted.

(26,044 posts)...these predictions of something yuge coming up this afternoon, or tomorrow, or at the end of the week seem to be the leftist equivalent of the fundamentalist claims that prophecy makes it clear that The Rapture will be on such-and-such a day (to be transferred to the nearest available date once the predicted day doesn't pan out). In other words "Merry Fitzmass!"

(5 posts)I just happened to catch an interview on MSNBC where they reported that the CIA met with trump and showed him proof of Putin interfering in our election and he was quiet and subdued about it. Later it was reported he went crazy and now when they do the daily briefings they wait until the end of the meeting because trump gets so riled up about any news of the Russian collusion or interference... Just the fact that he believes what Putin says and not our own intelligence agencies is proof enough to me that he is either acting on Putin's best interest, or he has to because of their financial dealings... He knows when they investigated his bank that they are getting close to the truth - hence, the attack on the FBI and Mueller... He is endangering our country to another cyberattack by the Russians. They already know they can get in to our systems. Who says they won't get in to our banking, our military and personal files - even our electrical grid. They could immobilize us in a few minutes and never have to fire a shot.

OliverQ
(3,363 posts)something positive for Democrats/anti-fascists. Mueller being fired would indicate lots of doom and gloom, which I'm not feeling from twitter.
I'm definitely very anxious about Mueller getting fired though. We know Republicans won't do anything about it and Trump and the GOP officially become above the law.

(26,044 posts)...that those "specific instructions" went beyond leaked documents and targeted ads, and that we have proof of actual Russian vote-tampering (as in: hacking the machines)? That would be a bombshell for sure. Up to now, Russiagate deniers have always had the fallback position that "O.K., maybe the Russians did interfere -- but there's no evidence that any of their actions swayed the election." If there was proof of the contrary...wow!
(NOTE: Just to be clear, this is pure speculation. There is no basis for such speculation except my own creative imagination as a screenwriter. It does not mean that I think anything like that is going to happen.)

(5,504 posts)Anderson Cooper, for example, is not in the same bracket of trustworthiness as a random user named Tea Pain. The two need to be differentiated in terms of reliability.
I refuse to trust enigmatic Twitter journalists who pop out of nowhere with explosive news! They may be correct, but they deserve extra scrutiny until they prove themselves.
Im not saying dont use Twitter journalists for information. All Im saying is, their information should be scrutinized and examined more extensively, rather than treating their tweets as fact.

(5,270 posts)Investigators and officials who know incriminating info are not going to just passively sit back and let Repubs spin their attempts to justify shutting down Mueller probe.
Either indictments or leaks of more dirt on Trump gang will help sway public opinion that Mueller probe is necessary to get to bottom of the wrongdoing and that politicians who are trying to shut down the probe are obstructing justice.

They can only challenge and pay for a recount out of their dime if it's a state seat.
OliverQ
(3,363 posts)Alabama law doesn't allow candidates to pay for a recount in federal elections.
So unless Repubs pull 20,000 Moore votes out of provisional ballots, they can't get a recount.
