TX Attorney General's top aide mocks 'pathetic' #MeToo movement and calls women's marchers 'c*nts'

One of Texas’ top lawyers appeared to take issue with the massive outpouring of sexual assault and harassment claims associated with the #MeToo movement in an early morning Facebook post on Wednesday.

As Dallas News reports, Associate Deputy Attorney General Andrew D. Leonie posted on Facebook at 2:40 AM on Wednesday decrying the women who’ve come forward with their stories as “pathetic.”

“Aren’t you also tired of all the pathetic ‘me too’ victim claims?” Leonie wrote. “If every woman is a ‘victim’, so is every man. If everyone is a victim, no one is. Victim means nothing anymore.”

In the post, which was still posted publicly on Leonie’s Facebook as of Thursday afternoon, the deputy assistant AG linked to an article from the conservative magazine The Federalist about how women “relish” male desire.

Texas AG’s aide ‘resigns’ after controversial and sexist social media posts surface

Texas’ deputy attorney general, Andrew D. Leonie, has retired after Raw Story and Dallas News uncovered controversial posts he made about women on social media.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office confirmed Leonie’s retirement in a statement made on Thursday afternoon.

“This afternoon, Andrew Leonie resigned his position with the Office of the Attorney General effective immediately,” the statement reads. “The views he expressed on social media do not reflect our values. The OAG is committed to promoting and maintaining a workplace that is free from discrimination and harassment.”

Leonie’s Facebook reflected his retirement shortly before the AG’s office confirmed it.

"never pass up an opportunity to keep your mouth shut." OR, never pass up an opportunity to stick your hands in your pockets.

It's good he's gone. His tainted/demented thinking will not be around for commentary on opinions from the TXAG.

Back to the business at hand. Resignation or impeachment.
