The new tax plan removes the ACA mandate in 2019, and that will directly impact those who currently

get subsidies from the ACA, and those on Medicaid:

"Starting in 2019, the Affordable Care Act mandate that people have insurance or face a fine imposed by the IRS would be repealed. This is expected to save more than $300 billion over the coming decade, which was applied to offset the cost of tax reductions. Separate legislation is expected to be considered to stabilize insurance marketplaces as part of an agreement to win the support of Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, who opposed the mandate repeal.

The Congressional Budget Office said the repeal would reduce the number of people with insurance by 13 million within 10 years because fewer will enroll in Medicaid or buy coverage in government-managed exchanges, including some who will no longer be able to afford insurance because rates will rise about 10% annually."

For those that itemize deductions:

"Mortgage interest remains deductible for those who itemize, but for new mortgages on first and second homes, only the interest on the first $750,000 borrowed is deductible. The interest on home equity loans will no longer be deductible."

State, Local, and Property tax deductions remain, but cannot exceed 10,000:

"New maximum of $10,000 for a combination of property and income taxes or property and sales taxes."

Interest on Home Equity loans is no longer deductible
.
The Personal Exemption has been completely eliminated.

The Standard Deduction will be increased from couples from 12000 to 24000 dollars

The Child Tax credit would be increased from 1000 to 2000 dollars

Because of the adverse impact of this law on health care coverage, because the mandate expires in 2019, 2018 will be the last chance to stop the most vulnerable in our society from being hurt much worse than they currently are.

Every republican at both the House and Senate level needs to be challenged. Howard Dean's 50 state strategy must be implemented.

2018 is the last chance to save the country. The Supreme Court, Healthcare, the environment, civil rights, women's rights, are all at stake.

I really hope that Democrats have a candidate to challenge Susan Collins in 2018. Every republican up for re-election in 2018 needs to be challenged by a Democrat

If millennials do not participate in 2018, then they will get exactly what they deserve decades to come

He knows his shit. THIS IS FAR FROM OVER!!!!!
We can still call and pressure them and we WILL! The grass roots efforts will not STOP and will only give us energy and strength. Indivisible, MoveOn, etc have plans of attack. This has not been signed and the process is not over. Keep calling and here is a list. Be loud, determined and hammer these bastards...NO POLITICAL FUTURE FOR THEM! Also pressure their local offices in their own home towns. Send them a VERY UNHAPPY HOLIDAYS message.
Don't wait until the mid terms. CALL the GOP NOW! KILL THE BILL!
We can stop the Tax Scam too. IT IS NOT OVER! Add Rubio and Lee (Utah) to your list. Keep pressuring them daily. Call(202)224-
McCain (AZ) 2235
Flake (AZ) 4521
Collins (ME) 2523
Heller (NV) 6244
Murkowski (AK) 6665
Moran (KS) 6521
Johnson (WI) 5323
Young (IN) 5623
Rubio (FL) 3041
Lee (UT) 5444
Landlord (OK) 2651
Daines (MT) 5754

**McConnell (KY) 2541 Tell him to hold off the vote until Jones is seated. Obama waited to vote on the ACA in 2010 until a newly elected REPUB was seated!

And tell Corker to go f*ck himself for being a lying traitor(TN) 3344

Call, tell your friends and family, use social media and hammer the GOP every DAY! If you get a voice mail leave a message. The staffers DO tally them up and keep track. It literally takes 2 minutes to call one GOP rep (call both houses too). RESIST !

reject the new tax bill because of the negative implications to healthcare, the deficit, and how the most vulnerable in our society are going to be hurt by this bill

The reality is unfortunately that this is pretty much a done deal. The republicans have gone too far, and will not back away on this, which is why 2018 is so important, especially in regard to the ACA and healthcare which is somewhat intact until 2019

It is what makes us Americans starting with the founding fathers. The harder they push me, the harder I push back. I am small and older but I am very, very stubborn.

Thank you for staying strong! RESIST! Peace.
