... the good news is it looks like we won't have to wait a lot longer for the shit to hit the fan.

It sounds like this next week might see...

Mueller meet with WH attorneys. There's no telling what this is for. It could be an ask for more documents or people to question or he could be going so far as to let him know how many of his administration are being arrested at that time.

No one knows.

It sounds like right after that, trump is laying the groundwork to fire multiple members of the DoJ to included Mueller and McCabe and anyone else who doesn't capitulate to his totalitarian wishes.

No one knows

It sounds like thousands are getting ready in the event of a Mueller firing to take to the streets the week before Christmas in an effort to shut down...well, everything until trump is removed by a vacationing Congress.

No one knows what's coming but it sure sounds like something is coming.

And I've still got to get a gift for my wife.

Hold on to your butts!

Mueller’s had to plan on a firing scenario since he took the job. He’s well prepared. And so is the entire IC. They all know what’s coming, and they’re laying in wait.

It feels like he's been in this game long enough to know that his time could end with the next phone call. Toward that end, I have to believe that he's done an exceptional job preparing for that eventuality.

I have to wonder if the meeting next week with the WH attorneys is to layout the doomsday scenario. They can do all they want to estimate the political dominos but Mueller will likely help them see the legal dominos associated with firing him. I just have to believe that he's got a dead-man's switch somewhere.

Cuz if I don't believe that, I have to believe things are going to be very very very ugly for a very very very long time.

They could subpoena those, couldn't they?

I vote for letting them know how many are being indicted and that they have enough information backed up to include Trump. Trump and the boys could have their own wing in the slammer. Trump Tower.

These are some of the biggest criminals in American history and they need to be convicted and go to prison. Letting them walk would destroy our image in the free world even worse than it already is. Not to mention deterring anyone from trying something like this again.

In Medieval times there was a very severe penalty for plotting against the Royal Family. Google "drawing and quartering" and you will understand why not many attempted that crime.

for any reason, smacks of banana republic behavior.

And on a practical level, Trump is capable of violent revenge, so it could get ugly quite quickly, he is mentally ill.

So the only way to go is some sort of deal that Trump will buy.

I frankly think Trump and his spawn should be hung for treason, but that probably won't happen.

Mueller can indict him after's he's out of office or let congress have the goods on him and leave it up to them to impeach the pos. Dotard can only be named an un-indicted co-conspirator.

I'm not a lawyer but I think that's correct and that's what happened in Watergate.

in the USA it's people who got elected in a legal fashion. People who should be legally in control of the country. And in my opinion, there's a shitload of republicans who don't fit that definition. In my analogy, the Royal Family are the ones someone is trying to overthrow by illegal means. And it's been happening here for decades.

45* and Crazy Roy Moore are birds of a feather, their egos won't let them quit.

And of course there's the problem of dealing with Pence if by some stretch 45* does resign. Pence is just as evil, and is a hell of a lot better at politics.

And yes Pence is just as evil, more so in that he pretends to be a saint and good guy.

is rabidly trying to get the tax cuts in place -- before all hell breaks loose and they then can put country before party and impeach because they've already got what they want -- tax cuts for the wealthy, a broken federal government that they can criticize for its inefficiencies and deficit spending, the Supreme Court and lower US Courts stacked with rabid conservatives with lifetime appointments. Trump can be tossed in the trash can once the bill is signed.

I don't know what it's about, of course, for sure. My guess is that it's going to be a heads-up sort of thing.

Mueller may go in there and say, "Here's whats about to happen, folks. I just wanted to give you a heads-up so what is about to occur doesn't come as a complete surprise. After this briefing, you will probably want to inform the administration fully, so it can prepare."

That's my guess. He'll probably also explain what will happen if he is removed from his position, and in excruciating detail. If they're ready to drop something major, he will probably explain what it is and tell them that it will be dropped immediately if Mueller is fired or removed.

It's not going to be a friendly meeting, I'm fairly certain.
