Saira Rao - "I'm A Brown Woman Whos Breaking Up With The Democratic Party" - Who?

Here is the so-called liberal Huffington Post once again giving face time to a previously unknown progressive who declares war on Democrats, independents, Bernie Sanders, progressives, etc. for failing people of color. Of course, this progressive conveniently overlooks Donald Trump and the rest of his cabal. Instead, by attacking Democrats from the "left" she gets to punch her ticket like Cornel West, Susan Sarandon, Jill Stein, etc., who will get rewarded with facetime and Russian troll retweets for such an attack. Perhaps she will now be featured on Glenn Greenwald. Perhaps even RT. Or, she might even score a feature collaboration with the Sane Progressive, who attacks Democrats and defends Trump and Russia from the "left":

My point is watch for opportunists who will suddenly get noticed, featured, and rewarded for offering friendly fire from the left. It happened in the 2016 elections. In the 2018 elections, its just a matter of time before a whole cottage industry arises to blame Democrats and independents like Bernie Sanders and Angus King for the Republican tax bill and the persecution of immigrants. They will ask if Bernie Sanders, Corey Booker, Elizabeth Warren, etc. really wanted to stop the tax bill, why didn't they?

Yet, in order to skim ratings, so-called "liberal" media will feature them like they did Cornel West, Jill Stein and Susan Sarandon.

So, congratulations Sairo Ro. You have the Susan Sarandon's more progressive than thou award for this week. Perhaps you can score a column on Brietbart.

I realize now that the love has been one-sided, unrequited. You’ve never recognized me, as a brown woman. You’ve taken my love, my money, my tokenism, with nary anything in return. You married the white woman and hooked up with me on the side.

Black Lives Matter is a second ― or third ― thought. Where is your outrage over the national epidemic of police brutality against black people? You continue to call angry white men who commit mass murder “lone wolves.” But if someone who looks like me screams “Allah” and fires a gun, it’s “terrorism.” And you wonder why angry white men are gunning down innocent brown men at bars, in their yards, on the street.

For all your talk about Dreamers, there’s been little action. You don’t seem to give a crap about kids of color who will be kicked out of this country, the only country they know. What if all those Dreamers were white? I suspect there’d be a very different outcome.

You spend a lot of time and energy wooing white voters, while giving short shrift to voters of colors and assuming we’ll always show up for you.

It does nothing but divide us and demoralize us. It's time we stop beating up on ourselves.

Be a proud Dem and help take back our government.

7. HuffPo's Focus Is Typical Sock Puppet Propaganda...

...in that the author might actually be genuine, but the media, Russians or RW types gives far more attention to these so-called progressives. The author, then, doubles down on their attacks in response to the attention. Now, the author could also just be a sock puppet, but does it matter?

For example, here is the "Sane Progressive" whose schtick is to defend Trump and attack Democrats from the left. Here, she is attacking the Russian investigation. The notable thing is that for all of her "progressive" attacks on Democrats, she never has anything to negative to say about Republicans or Trump. If you were to check her channel for any reference to the GOP tax plan you would see nothing. Likewise, zilch is said about the EPA.

to be trashed at a later date

I do believe that there are people powerful enough to be running things behind the scenes and have major influences on our government and elections but who in their right mind would be crazy enough to pick Trump over Hillary to put in the White House? those "deep staters" fucked this one up bigger than shit

14. Lefties who attack Democrats instead of Repubs: It's how they're wired.

They're a type, historically always around, and they don't change, never "wise up" about Democrats, any more than the rest of us finally discover the Republicans had it right all the time. I OD'd on them back in the later 1960s, when troubles also caused them to think their day had finally come.

It never does, not back in American revolutionary days or FDR's New Deal era either. Their groups historically typically never get anything big accomplished because those goals are always superseded by their need to replace Democrats (which they can't because they're far too few), and because their organizations typically end up quarreling internally, same as they do with us, and falling apart.

(As a matter of fact, at least two competing groups have already formed separately and/or splintered off from Our Revolution.)

In any case, some end up finding that much larger and more powerful group to fight with -- the far right. The far left and right have some striking characteristics in common (and some striking dissimilarities), which can get stronger by feeding them. Certainly, they all despise liberals/Democrats. In any case, it's useful in trying to understand them.

However, the first time it had a totally bogus subject line that did not match the article and apparently some DUers didn't click/read the link. What was his motive?

I understand what the author was saying, and my mistake was in my interpretation of her article. She’s leaving the Dem party because they’ve taken her for granted, and I was trying to say that I hope the Dem party won’t take them for granted in the future. SORRY.
