Being connected with friends and others with shared interests is a good thing. What we need are better tools than corporate control over our social interactions.

(81,564 posts)(In fact, there used to be a free website where your name, date of birth, and place of birth were available. And another free website to get personal info on dead people, including their social security numbers. Now you have to pay to get this info.)
I believe it's only a matter of time before Facebook makes everyone give them a cellphone number.
