Mueller? He's spent a lifetime collecting actionable evidence that can be used in court. He wouldn't do anything that would compromise the value of the evidence. If the Repubs really had a legal leg to stand on, they would present it in court, not to Congress and the "court" of public opinion.

Yeah, I believe Mueller and his team.

informed some time back about preservation of any and all E-mails and Documents . The destruction of any or all of these materials is a Federal Crime. Nixon as well as Reagan slow walked producing Documents and it took Court Orders in some cases to gain release of these documents.

And if these E-mails are on GSA servers, well, that makes them Public E-mails which are available via FOIA requests.

9. Mueller's right to gain access to the documents is unrelated to FOIA, which doesn't apply.

It is settled law that the Presidential Transition Team is not an "agency" to which FOIA applies.

6. This is really the stupidest thing they could come up with...

Mueller has a Juris Doctor degree...he was consulting professor and lecturer at Stanford University. He has countless years of experience as lawyer in attorney offices.
He is an expert in building legally a case that will stand up in court.

Knowing that, they still managed to get out from their magic hat, the sole argument that they can never tear down ??

What I truly can't imagine, is how they got their diploma?

I'll give a general answer because it is not my field of competence.

It depends. It is not necessary illegal. Some can be deleted with or without a copy saved, some cannot. Still, if mails were illegaly deleted, it doesn't mean a judge will accept the argument.

It is a very general answer, maybe not much helpful but really it depends on various factors.

What I have learned from my experience and studies, is that you can never make an accurate conclusion without having access to all the material in a case.

10. The charges will be lying to the FBI if they say they handed over all the requested emails

and they did not hand over the incriminating ones. So now, Mueller has that many more cooperating witnesses at his disposal if he needs them. Or, they can just be charged, easily convicted, and sentenced. They really fell into a huge trap on this one.
