I think that the only reason Mueller won't get fired is fear.

They don't know what he has. They don't know what's ready to drop. They don't know what Mueller would do in the time it would take to fire him. They don't know much at all, really.

The information about the emails has certainly put the fear in their minds. Does he have other stuff, too, that they don't know about? Probably. The secrecy and lack of leaks from the investigation make it an unknown quantity. The Administration is scared shitless right now, I have no doubt.

That's why they instantly backed away from rumors that Mueller was about to get the ax, I think.

I could be wrong, of course.

Mueller's not going to tell them, though. He doesn't have to.

... that you are right and Mueller has rigged it so that if Trump fires him then that will produce his (Trump's) worst nightmare. I firmly believe the theory Mueller has dozens of indictments which will blow the lid off this Presidency. And Mueller has planned for the possibility of crybaby Trump just pardoning everyone and thinking he can skate off into the sunset.

Trump isn't difficult to figure out since he's so shallow, transparent and stupid. The concept that Mueller will just go home and it all ends if he is fired is refuted by the brilliant strategy he's shown so far. He has no intention of all his work being for naught, nor for justice to be thwarrted.

Trump's team must have convinced him it's better to wait for the investigation to conclude then just scream "fake news" at anything he doesn't like - that's all he's done so far, so no reason to change.

I think his best hope - one I hope never comes to pass - is that if he's dragged out kicking and screaming he can start howling at his supporters to incite a violent armed revolution because there is a coup afoot. Many here have persuaded me this is far less likely than I once thought, but in Trump's fevered little mind I'm sure he believes his adoring fans would love nothing more than to lay down their lives for him, so that's the card he'll try to play instead of firing Mueller.

One thing's for sure, reasons involving integrity, honesty, and having nothing to hide have zero bearing on the reasoning behind Mueller not being fired.

will become public come from?

Has there been a credible leak from the Mueller team? Has some court clerk somewhere verified they've received said indictments?

Or is everyone just going out on a limb and hoping it's true.
