*BREAKING* McCain going home. Won't be present for tax scam vote

http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/17/politics/mccain-return-arizona-tax-bill/index.html

Washington (CNN)Sen. John McCain is heading home to Arizona to continue recovering from the side effects of chemotherapy for a brain tumor and will not be in Washington for the tax vote this week, two sources close to McCain confirmed to CNN.

McCain is unlikely to return to Washington this year, one of the sources said. But his ability to get on a plane to Arizona was a "good sign," a source said.

McCain left Walter Reed Medical Center "exhausted, but ok," a Republican close to him said.
McCain's daughter, Meghan McCain, confirmed that the senator would be in Arizona for Christmas.

been a support of massive corruption that may take down our democracy and may plunge us into national decline for many decades to come. All through the transformation of the Republican Party to extremism and service to the new billionaire classes, he never had the guts and principles to do whatever he needed to try to stop it. But he also didn't just go along, he facilitated massive corruption and betrayal in order to remain a leader in his party.

passes in the form he's leaving it in. It is written to finish off the ACA.

People, no matter where they get healthcare coverage, work or exchanges, can't have coverage for preexisting conditions and unlimited lifetime coverage for illnesses without PAYING for them. They're very close to removing the "paying" part. Among other things meant to make sure it dies and stays dead.

Oh, yes. McCain is also a top leader in the party that has every intention of repealing and/or "privatizing" (same thing) Social Security, Medicare and the VA, but he won't be around to throw rocks at.

Having recently lost one of my best friends from this awful cancer, I think, given his need to be hospitalized, he won't be back. This cancer is terrible...the treatment for it is almost worse and not easy on someone in their 80s. I was pretty disgusted by Trumps emphasis on him coming back for the vote and not on his illness.

My aunt and her youngest son both died from glioblastoma. My wife's brother was the other one. My wife has had cancer twice, as has every female ancestor she can remember, but they all seem to survive it and make it beyond age 90. Her mother, the youngest child in her family, just turned 90 in September. My wife's first time, in 2001, was a rare form of breast cancer, which was treated with two operations, chemo and radiation. The second time was an even rarer form of uterine cancer, known here as "the murderer," as it always spreads quickly and is almost always fatal since it is never discovered in time. My wife was that one case in ten thousand where it was discovered by total accident in its initial stages, and her specialist, who had seen this form many times, said this was the first time ever that he recommended against chemo and radiation, saying (after 80 biopsies came back all negative) that he thought that they actually "got it" this time. Indeed, her one year later check-up revealed no trace of any cancer left at all.

Here was the post about that: https://www.democraticunderground.com/10181011987
