Did anyone see the long-time prosecutor on Ari's new show, The Beat?

He explained what would happen if Trump attempted to fire Mueller without legitimate cause.

He said the Special Counsel's team could appeal to some sort of Administrative Judge and that it could take a long time to resolve the case?

It would be very difficult for Trump to fire the Special Counsel, he said. The President does not have the authority to fire Mueller.

It was a very interesting interview with what seemed to be a very knowledgeable prosecutor.

Both he and Ari made the point and used the Special Counsel law to show Mueller can't be fired without cause, nor can tRump fire him. Waxman added that if tRump did go down the line and find someone other than Rosenstine to fire him, that litigants with standing (such as Mueller's team members) could file a suit that would keep Mueller in his job and by the time it was resolved in the courts, Mueller's work could be done.
