Jeb Bush Calls for a Focus on Growth

Source: Wall Street Journal

DETROIT— Jeb Bush sketched out the main theme of his likely Republican presidential campaign on Wednesday, saying the nation should dedicate itself to economic “growth above all’’ as the prescription for helping Americans who are struggling amid an uneven recovery.

The former Florida governor, in his first major policy speech since forming a political-action committee to help give him a national platform, said the “opportunity gap’’ between the wealthy and those less well-off was “the defining issue of our time.’’

But Mr. Bush offered only the broad outlines of policy solutions and deferred to future comments his plans for how to achieve the 4% economic growth—well above the current average—that he said should be the nation’s goal.

Offered no details, conveniently forgot to mention that the “opportunity gap’’ is a direct result of his party's brain dead, Reaganomics, Supply Side, Trickle Down, Job Creator, bullshit, fucking policies.

He represents the problem, not any sort of cure. If he wants to help fix them problem, he should be calling for drone strikes on the GOP convention.

But don't fall for it. It's nothing more than a campaign tactic. Believe you me, if he got elected he would be just as regressive in office as any of the others would be. God forbid if he got elected.

When pressed for details, he'll say his "fix" is more of the same supply-side bullshit and how it was not enough of it that caused income inequality.

This is just a lot of BS. He wants to try and contact with the "struggling" americans, the same ones who worse off because of his moron brother who tried to destroy the entire economy of this counter, and sadly did a pretty good job of it. Jeb wants to BS the average american into thinking he really cares, and that's just more Bush crap, the same crap his brother spewed.

Anyone dumb enough to buy into this kind of dribble would have to be a tea bagger, and even they might have more brains than that.

There are ofter outbreaks in the years leading up to elections. It causes the afflicted to compulsively lie about their past and beliefs. It is rarely fatal, it passes by the the day after the election and they are returned to the same asshole condition they started in.

And that's despite claiming inflation of between 2 and 3%. Had prices been accurately measured, real GDP growth during the Bush years would have no doubt been closer to zero.

And the bill to increase the taxes on the top .01% to pay for it. But I agree that it is "the defining issue of our time" so thanks for giving the Democrats an assist with one of their core issues.
