Board of Ed member Pat McPherson makes it clear: he's not resigning

LINCOLN — Pat McPherson made it clear once again today that he’s not resigning from the Nebraska State Board of Education.

The controversy over bigoted remarks on his blog continued to boil this morning at a meeting of the Nebraska State Board of Education.

Supporters and detractors of McPherson used the public comment period to make their feelings known.

Detractors addressed McPherson directly, repeating calls for his resignation over the "half breed" comment on his blog, and, short of that, calling for him to take a college course on multiculturalism.
