Jordan Vows to ‘Wipe Out ISIS’

Source: TDB

In the wake of ISIS’s claims that a Jordanian air strike killed American hostage Kayla Jean Mueller and their execution of Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kasaesbeh, Jordan has vowed to hunt down the terror group and “wipe them out completely.” Interior Minister Hussein al-Majali told a state-run newspaper that the country will track down ISIS “wherever they are” and that this week’s air strikes were “the beginning of an ongoing process to eliminate them and wipe them out completely.”

7. The whole reason this is happening in the first place, is that the Saudis DID give us (GHWB)....

...permission, and turned even some of our Muslim allies in the region against us.

GHWB insisted on stationing American troops on holy land, which was looked upon as desecrating it.

Which begs the question, if not us, who will do it? If no one does it, why does it matter that the US does? Which is better? IS slaughtering everyone that doesn't subscribe to their warped view of Islam? Or the US doing a few drone strikes while Jordan bombs the crap out of them? If those other countries want us out, they need to get off their asses and save their own people. And the people funding ISIS need to be found and punished.

Who knows if they want ISIS stopped now. We are lied to and @$!#ed over so often, who knows what the truth is?

One thing I know - it will take decades to fix that mess. Unless we want to do the right thing, and stick around for decades, we need to either do nothing, or to selectively aid others who are reliable (likr the Kurds).

Killing some people then leaving will just make it worse.

6. Groups inside of Iraq (and Syria) have been taking them on and driving them back....

....in a limited way.

With Jordan bombing their supplies and weapons, that will make the job of those directly fighting them easier.

Or will try very hard.

Extended air wars are big, expensive, drawn-out affairs.

8. This is going to take a world effort, ISIS isn't a country but they are attacking

Citizens from all over the world. They love brutality and war, are not up to task of running the world but still wants to be in charge. It would be good to get every country involved as well as every citizen in the US.

12. Before we wiped out about 6000 of them with our air strikes, they only had 30000 total.

I'm sure there's even less now after a couple of days of Jordanian bombing. But no telling how many are lurking in other countries.

To have the "return to home terrorists" operating everywhere. It isn't a "I live in a nice neighborhood so I'm safe", they are out to control the world.

The U.S. needs to stay clear and allow these other countries to police it's own.

Didn't get rid of sectarian strife in the Middle East, I doubt Jordan will be able to affect much change, especially given the ethnic and religious divisions in their own country.
