Sam Brownback: Forcing women to have babies is part of ‘pro-economic growth agenda’ in Kansas
Source: RawStory
Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback (R) suggested over the weekend that preventing women from having abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy was part of his states recipe for economic growth.
On Fridays Washington Watch broadcast, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins ignored the economic disaster in Kansas, and praised Brownback for showing Washington a thing or two about improving the economy.
Its working, Brownback agreed. What we want Kansas to be is the best place in America to do two things: raise a family, grow a small business.
And we are moving that way, he continued. Ive signed 10 pro-life bills, theres another one moving through the legislature on ending dismemberment abortions, where you actually dismember the child to abort it. Its passed the state Senate, its going to pass the House, and Im going to sign it.

(23,102 posts)Like all Repugs, he's an expert on economic destruction not growth. The state is doing terrible, red ink as far as the eyes can see. I used to like to drive across the country, but these days there are so many states I don't want to spend a nickle in, I just fly when going on vacation. Don't want to contribute one dime to these red-ass state coffers and don't want to get caught in any of their stings either.

(23,156 posts)have to do with a baby with something quite wrong with it, or with a genuine risk to the mother's life. Quite contrary to the forced-birth folks, women do not casually make decisions about abortion, least of all a late term one. So unless they intend to fully fund all the services that will be needed by many of those forced births, this is about the least pro-growth measure out there.

(30,099 posts)for a woman to have an abortion regardless of the health of the mother, is evil.
That is what he expressed when he ran for POTUS...this measure now is as close to
that and it should be shocking we have these lunatics in office anywhere in the US.

I'm so glad I left. I have no idea what has happened to what was a moderate fiscally conservative live and let live state.
It appears to have collectively gone insane.

(322 posts)we can't find jobs for people who need them now. And this is never more true than in a place like Kansas. These sick fucks don't even pretend to appeal to anyone but bible-thumping gun-humpers anymore! Gawd, the only comparably fascist idea they could have is mandatory consumption!

(24,703 posts)This is remarkable the state is crumbling around there libertarian feet and the millionaires and the suckers, that support this agenda is absolutely mind boggling.
Millionaires have bought the political corruption they want and get, and the suckers are subsidizing the millionaires and billionaires off the pension and education cuts being implemented to the same wealthy legislature that talks out of both sides of there mouth
The educational system is dying, the public and private pension funds for employees are going bye bye, and then they have the invasion of privacy being implemented by a hypocrite and his millionaires and suckers with glee.
