DOJ defends Clinton from email subpoena
By Ben Kamisar
The Justice Department is defending former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from a motion to subpoena her private emails under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
Such action is unnecessary and inappropriate under FOIA, DOJ officials wrote in a legal briefing filed Thursday. Officials were responding to a case launched by Larry Klayman, the founder of the conservative watchdog group Freedom Watch.
Klayman is asking the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C., to subpoena Clintons computer server where she housed the private email address she used while serving in the State Department.

The Justice Department describes Klaymans call for a subpoena as speculation in its brief.

(32,025 posts)Klayman is a failed lawyer and a king of frivolous lawsuits (I thought conservatives opposed those?), who is obsessed with calling Obama a Muslim or Kenyan, and is fearing black-on-white persecution when not paranoid about Obama.

(68,644 posts)She set herself up for this and if we are to expect future cabinet members to be good and loyal servants of the people, we need to make it clear that this shit is not acceptable.
I hope some good comes out of all this bad: that a lesson is taught and that a bad choice for America and for Democrats is shown the door.
