US stock indexes start mixed following strong week

NEW YORK (AP) -- U.S. stock market indexes are mixed in early trading following a strong performance last week.
The Dow Jones industrial average rose 27 points, or 0.2 percent, to 18,154 as of 9:31 a.m. Monday
The Standard & Poor's 500 index edged up one point, or 0.1 percent, to 2,109. The S&P 500 jumped 2.7 percent last week, its biggest rise since early February.
