Chinese warship docks in Aden to evacuate nationals - port official

Source: Reuters

ADEN, March 29 (Reuters) - A Chinese warship docked in the embattled Yemeni port city of Aden on Sunday to evacuate Chinese diplomats and expatriate workers, a port official and eyewitnesses told Reuters.

On Saturday Saudi Arabia's navy evacuated dozens of foreign diplomats from the city, where militiamen are fighting the advance of Houthi militiamen whose forces have been bombed for four days by a Saudi-led coalition.

"Earlier on Thursday, an warplane attacked the presidential palace in Aden where Hadi has been based since being pushed out of the capital Sanaa in the north by Houthi rebels.

The statement made no reference to Saleh but said that "agents of Iran" had also backed the former regime's forces.

"What happened today is a clear message to the whole world that the coup and their supporters of traitors reject any solutions or sit at the dialogue table in order to exit the crisis of Yemen to safety," Hadi said.

Thirteen people were killed on Thursday when forces loyal to Hadi fought their way into Aden's international airport and wrested an adjacent military base from a renegade officer."

Correspondents say that this is not the first time that China has evacuated its workers in Libya - during the Libyan civil war in 2011, China evacuated 35,860 nationals.

China on Wednesday thanked Greece for its help in evacuating nearly 80 of its nationals from Libya last week.

I think its coming out western oil companies deal with Sunnis and Russia and other eastern Europe and China does as much commerce as the UN will allow the Iran(Shiite). Just my opinion and it will probably be different next week.
