WATCH: Indiana GOP leader admits ‘No Gays Allowed’ sign would be legal in most of the state

Source: RawStory

But during the press conference, a reporter noted that Indiana does not have a state law that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

“You guys have said repeatedly that we shouldn’t be able to discriminate against anyone, but if you just ignore the existence of this law, can’t we already do that now? Can’t so-and-so in Richmond put a sign up and say ‘No Gays Allowed?’” she asked. “That’s not against the law, correct?”

“It would depend,” Bosma replied. “If you were in a community that had a human rights ordinance that wouldn’t be the case.”

“But most of the state does not have that, correct?” the reporter pressed.

“That’s correct,” Bosma admitted.

I can't imagine how a business owner would enforce such a ridiculous rule.

I guess they can "just tell by looking" who to enforce their rule against!

And, if you can't imagine it, then you have been very lucky to have not been around these people very much in your life.

I can make no such claim.

I won't spend a red cent in quite a number of establishments for different reasons.

I'm sure that there will be some very out-of-touch fundamentalist Christians that will attempt to discriminate based on this bill, and I relish the exposure and blowback. It will be delicious.

I've lived in this state for 35+ years, probably not going anywhere. The good thing is I do not know one single person that is for this new bill. There are way more Liberals in Indiana than people think. Unfortunately it seems the crazy few are the ones in control.

But since then with a Republican controlled State House and Republican dominated Governorship (with the exception of Gov. O'Bannon a Democrat. Note I don't count our Republican lite Governor Bayh)...
Its been a downhill slide. Remember Mitch Daniels. The guy that leased the Toll Road for billions? Well the IN toll road has gone to hell and the company that leased it filed bankruptcy. So as usual any state the Republicans touch pretty much goes to hell

Oh I see...the hate is religious based...specifically Christian hate.

They are no better than other religious based terrorists.

We need to know who these bigots are. Just as, at least in CA, restaurants, etc. have to post signs indicating their health inspection status, if some business owner is going to discriminate, he/she should have to put a sign in the window to that effect.

"We Discriminate. Do Not Enter if You're not a Christian."

I want to know which businesses have done so already.

There HAS to be a few BOLD Christians that will do so to demonstrate their virtuous and holy nature. They'll get a yellow star in Heaven no doubt.

All states should pulls out as much business as they can
from Indiana.
Also state should stop allowing business people or residents
from doing business out side of Indiana.
New York, etc. Supper Bowl should be pulled!!
When the final for happens, the stadium should be surrounded
by protesters, asking people not cross a pick line.

The American people have to stand up to the bigots in Indiana,
we need to stop them!!
