Franklin Pierce-Herald poll: Hillary Clinton holds `unprecedented' lead
Source: Boston Herald
Granite State voters stand solidly behind Hillary Clinton's likely presidential run despite questions about her private email account and a progressive push to draft U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren into the race, a new Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald polls reveals.
The former Secretary of State, whose comeback win in the 2008 New Hampshire primary kept alive her White House hopes, now shows overwhelming support in the first-in-the-nation primary state, according to the poll.
A whopping 84 percent of likely Democratic primary voters in New Hampshire have favorable views of Clinton, while 68 percent say her use of a private email server while working at the State Department is "not that serious," the poll shows. Just 6 percent of voters call the email controversy a "very serious" problem.
In a trial 2016 matchup, Clinton leads Warren by a 47-22 percent margin, according to the Franklin Pierce-Herald poll of 417 likely Democratic primary voters.

(11,014 posts)and tell us why we shouldn't believe the polls and that the support for Warren and Sanders is far far more because droves of Hillary supporters will leave her.
I used to laugh at Faux's echo chamber which made repukes believe that Romney was going to win.
I can't laugh at DU's echo chamber....

(5,751 posts)I like Hillary. She comes across as very likeable to me. I just want someone more progressive. If I can't have that, then I will vote for Hillary. Not voting is tantamount to voting for the second coming of the Dark Ages.

(11,014 posts)Unfortunately, there are many here who have vowed to not vote for Hillary under any circumstances. I wonder if they'd rather have Jeb Bush, Scott Walker or (ohgawdno) Ted Cruz elected.

(29,322 posts)A candidate who isn't Hillary just needs to get their name out there and keep plugging, if they are in a primary then the media will start focusing a little more. Its just too early to tell but I will say she has the best odds.

(387 posts)So they are going to vote for a Democrat. That's all this poll shows. Democrats vote for a Democrat. Usually.
hack89
(39,171 posts)so of course they were going to pick a Democrat. The issue is who they picked and the overwhelming support they gave that pick.

(387 posts)The other candidates were not "obvious candidates" in the sense I mean.
The point is that they voted for her because she is the only Democrat that they recognized on the list.
hack89
(39,171 posts)that is how they determine whether they have a chance or not. They are not strangers to Democratic voters in New Hampshire.

(387 posts)Nobody has done any real campaigning yet. All these polls are too early to be meaningful.

(2,157 posts)In a November 3, 2014 interview in People Magazine Senator Warren again says that she will not run for President in 2016.
However Senator Elizabeth Warren admits that she would love to be Treasury Secretary In a Hillary Clinton Administration.

(387 posts)The article says that she belted out a big belly laugh and said, "Now THAT's a fun thought!"

(2,157 posts)You also quote the article as saying "she belted out a big belly laugh" when to be 100% accurate the article says "she belted out a big, Clinton-caliber belly laugh"
I get the feeling that because she laughed when being asked if she would like to play a role in a Democratic Administration you think that she is being sarcastic, when in fact Elizabeth Warren is the only one who brought up playing a role in a Hillary Clinton Administration. If you had the actual magazine you would see where it shows the reporter asking a question with a Q: then below the question would be Senator Warren's Answer with an A:
The online article only sums up the interview making it sound like she was asked if she would play a role in a Hillary Clinton Administration when in fact the interviewer asks the question If not Commander in Chief Would You Consider Playing a role in the Next Administration.
"So, if not chief executive, how would Warren feel about being Treasury Secretary under a President Hillary Clinton? Warren belts out a big, Clinton-caliber belly laugh. "Well, THAT'S a fun thought!"
