AirFrance flight AF1184: Live updates as plane declares emergency at 36,000ft

The plane was travelling from Paris to Tunisia when it ran into trouble.

Flight was headed to Tunisia.

Plane descended to 24,000ft

The flight was half way through its journey to Tunis, the capital of Tunisia when it made the turn.

The plane is currently at around 24,000ft and is nearing its return to Charles De Gaulle airport.

Earlier it was thought it would be diverted to Nantes, France.
