SOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
SMOKE ADVISORY
Valid Saturday, April 18, 2015

This advisory is in effect today. SCAQMD will issue an update if additional information becomes available.

A vegetation fire near Prado Dam in Chino continues to burn. Winds are onshore and will push the smoke toward the central San Bernardino Mountains. Current air quality measurements are mostly in the Moderate category throughout the Inland Empire and the remainder of the Basin, but localized areas may reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups level, or higher, at times, depending on winds and containment of the fire.

Some smoke may be experienced at times in the four-county air basin. The areas where smoke impacts are most likely to cause periods of Unhealthful air quality include:

Southwest San Bernardino Valley (Forecast Area 33);
Northwest San Bernardino Valley (Forecast Area 32);
portions of Central San Bernardino Valley (Forecast Area 34);
the Norco/Corona Area (Forecast Area 22)
