I've noticed lately that mediocrity pervades. It's like people are paralyzed by fear and hatred.

Back where some of my friends and family live, yes. They are in the thrall of Fox and Beck. It's depressing.

Attacks on public education. Demonizing public school teachers. They are after higher ed now as well. The state legislatures are passing hate-filled anti-immigrant, anti-woman laws all over the country.

Into law and have forced pharamacies to not deny BC to women. It's not all lost, but the battle is local.

My senators and representatives are the kind of people that need to be elected across the country. But then, as I said, this is mostly a blue state and we're fighting back. It's not easy, it's very messy.
