(26,295 posts)Being drunk really fucks with peoples judgment (or so I have heard as I have never been drunk as I dont any kind of drink liquor at all.) and causes them to make irrational decisions and do things like driving when they shouldnt be.

(192 posts)Seems important to me. Would you be saying the same thing if a presidential candidate got a DUI?
MADem
(135,425 posts)And John Stamos is aging eye candy and a middling actor--he is not running for the Presidency.

(135,425 posts)But more to the point, are you calling a soap/sitcom actor getting picked up drunk as somehow "equivalent" to the end by death of a lengthy career of a highly lauded actor? The latter is kind of a big deal, the former is just another day at the races.
cstanleytech
(26,295 posts)they are borderline LBN.
MADem
(135,425 posts)The death of a respected artist after a long career might fit in that category. His long career can be reviewed, comments can be made about his contributions to the arts, people can express condolences and remember his many superb performances. It's drawing the line under the sum of a person's life, who will not pass this way again.
A minor actor getting picked up for driving drunk, not so much....he's not going anywhere except to court.

(14,449 posts)He might not have thought he was going to drink. The .08 is something like 3 drinks so perhaps he could have thought he was ok to drive. Not excusing it but when you drink, you become the "savior of the World" and can do anything. He needs to immediately get on top of this and issue a statement about how stupid he was and not let it fester.

(1,151 posts)Thats bad. When you get so drunk that you are still drunk when you wake up, thats bad. Jogn is an alcoholic and he needs to get his drinking under control. He is a guy who was blessed with good fortune and his life is one long party.
Had a friend who tells this story. They were drinking,[all great storied begin with something like that] and bob insisted that his friend sleep on the couch since they were very drunk. It about 2 am and the friend had to go to work at 6 am. Well the guy went off to work and ran over a kid delivering papers. End of story.

(7,358 posts)I don't drink anymore. Alcohol is legal, and it doesn't take much to register as driving under the influence. It happens to the best of us. And yes it's stupid stupid stupid. So I hope John will be more responsible in the future or he will be using a driver.

By MailOnline Reporter
It seems Charlie Sheen is feeling much better after suffering an alleged severe bout of food poisoning earlier in the week.
The 49-year-old actor was all smiles on Thursday as he headed to Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles in Los Angeles with a pal.
Charlie looked relaxed in a striped T-shirt, jeans and a blue button-up shirt as he flashed a cheeky smile before heading into the eatery.
(If you squint, you can see me sitting at a table behind the glass door. My son laughed with him and talked shirts when Charlie noticed my son's Penguin sweater and told him how he converted his long sleeve Lacoste sweater he was wearing into a short sleeve T-shirt. He appeared reasonable sober in the nonalcoholic restaurant plus he had a driver, a friend, and his handler with him which is good because they arrived in Charlie's midnight black Maybach, a cool car that transitions somewhere between status and class.)
