Donald Trump says he would ‘love to have Oprah’ Winfrey as his 2016 running mate

Source: New York Daily News

Donald Trump may want Oprah Winfrey as his own celebrity apprentice for his White House bid.

The billionaire real estate mogul admitted in an interview taped Tuesday that he would consider asking the former talk show host and media magnate to add her name to his campaign ticket as his vice president.

“I think Oprah would be great,” Trump told ABC in an interview slated to air on “Good Morning America.” “I’d love to have Oprah. I think we’d win easily, actually.”

“She’s great, she’s talented, she’s a friend of mine,” Trump said, when asked about his past musings about teaming up with Winfrey for a presidential ticket. “She’s a good person. I’ve been on her show.”

Maybe she'd consider it if Bernie wins the nomination as Bernie's running mate.

Like most Vice Presidents in this era, Garner had little to do and little influence on the President's policies. He famously described the Vice-Presidency as being "not worth a bucket of warm piss".

With his vast experience bankrupting corporations and casinos just imagine what he can do for the US. He'll make Bush look like an absolute lightweight.

I would not like to see Oprah Winfrey run as Donald Trump's running mate, but I would like to see her run on her own. I know it would never happen, but I would not mind a Clinton/Winfrey ticket. I would at least like to see her run for the Democratic Party Presidential nomination.

I realize she has not had a political career. I also realize that this is a change in my stance from 2008 in that I was opposed to the idea of Caroline Kennedy (another political novice) being Senator Barak Obama's running mate. However, although I cannot give a good reason for my difference of opinion concerning Caroline Kennedy and Oprah Winfrey, I would still like to hear Oprah Winfrey's opinions on the issues. How does she feel about the problems in this country? What would she do to attempt to solve the problems in this country?

the Oprah run for President. I don't think she wants the job. I hope, if someone asks her about Trump's suggestion, that she just laughs and moves on without answering.

He obviously doesn't take himself seriously. Which I suppose is fine, the less serious he is the better off we all are.
