President Obama: ‘The Affordable Care Act is here to stay’

Source: Newsweek

Shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court announced its decision to uphold tax subsidies crucial to the implementation of Obamacare, President Barack Obama addressed the country about his signature health care law.

"The Affordable Care Act is here to stay," Obama said.

"All of America has protections it didn't have before," he said Thursday morning, standing alongside Vice President Joe Biden in the White House's Rose Garden. "This is not an abstract thing anymore. This is not a set of political talking points. This is reality. We can see how it's working."

In a 6-3 decision on the legitimacy of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Thursday, the country's highest court upheld the part of the law that makes it easier for Americans to afford insurance, no matter where they live. Millions of Americans, Obama said, will continue to receive tax credits for signing up to the ACA.

3. Did Faux News Air President Obama's Rose Garden Statement?.....

I'm sure they were spinning after the SCOTUS decision. I'm just curious if they aired the Rose Garden statement by the President.

One would think that any time that a President makes any kind of announcement, has a press conference or gives a statement - like he did today - any responsible news organization would be bound to air it because of its historical significance and because it is important to let the viewers (the American People) know what their President has to say.

It this case today - his statement was laudatory to ACA and contrary to what the Repug's think.

So did they air it or not? Anybody know - cause I surely don't watch Faux and am hoping that maybe somebody here might monitor them - just to know what the other side is thinking and saying.

He asks you with a grin if you are having a good time
Then he fines you every time you slam the door.
