Amber Alert Update: Police say suspect is in custody, children are OK

UPDATE: Omaha Police said the children, suspect and vehicle involved in an Amber alert Friday evening have been located.

One person is in custody and both children are OK, said Officer Kevin Wiese, a police spokesman.

Police were called to the Courtyard Omaha Aksarben Village, 1625 S. 67th St., about 5:50 p.m., Wiese said, where the children, suspect and vehicle were found.

Just 2 months ago the last Amber Alert in NE was too late. The suspect had already killed his mother and 5 year old brother that witnessed the mother's murder.
