Donald Trump event moves to Phoenix Convention Center

Source: Arizona Republic

Donald Trump's Arizona campaign event is moving to the Phoenix Convention Center, the Republican presidential candidate's campaign announced.

Hours after announcing the billionaire reality star-turned presidential contender's planned Saturday speech would be held at the luxury Arizona Biltmore Resort Spa, event organizers began scouting alternate locations.

"Due to the overwhelming response ... the venue has been changed to accommodate the thousands of people expected to attend and the event will now take place at the Phoenix Convention Center," Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in a statement.

Trump, who called some illegal immigrants rapists and criminals, will speak about immigration at the event. The Maricopa County Republican Party said Trump will be accompanied by immigration hardliner Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who has been found by a federal judge to racially profile Latinos during enforcement activities.

and The Donald speak to the disenfranchised segments of each party...the Tea Party and the "Liberals" aka Progressives aka Social Democrats. Interesting to draw some conclusions also to Europe...they call it austerity we call it under employed...working longer for less. In both one thing is sure, the rich are getting richer.

Both parties are bought by Corporations. Bernie is doing it on a shoestring, and Trump is using his own means. The Banksters are so entrenched in both parties that the "real" candidates are bought and paid for, thus mum. But neither are beholden to the banks or the parties.

I'm going to guess Trump will run as a third party and he'll draw some people behind him. Also, Bernie may stay Independent and oddly enough, it may be Trump that makes that possible.

Fascinating.

rather pedantic and boring, but passionate ad steady and strong.

The Tea Party was silenced...the Moderates won. We LPSD (Liberal, Progressive, Social Democrats) haven't had a candidate since McGovern. And we're had many entertaining novelties in the meantime.

Mark my words...this is as real as Greece, just not as tacky. People are sick and tired of getting screwed and/or ignored by the out-of-touch parties so they no longer bother to vote. It's crossed my mind many a campaign...although I did the nose-holding thing.

The Middle Class is almost gone. They are pissed. Now someone is speaking for them. The Republicans can's shut up Trump and he's the MSM darling. The Democrats and the MSM are trying to ignore Bernie.

Time will tell.

Ridiculous, but yall did a nice job methodically making the connection. That's some fantastic calculation you have going there. Come out hard on guns in the primary, turn Bernie into trump. It's sort of a hail mary on the Hillary front, but she knows the game.

science standpoint. The two parties, including ALL of those running, are establishment/sold out to corporate bankers/refuse to cut off their immense funds. So far so good?

But the Big Deal is since neither party is will to "go there", Bernie has...and he leans toward the Democrat Party but is not one of them. He's still Independent

The situation (not the men or what they believe or what they say or yada yada) The situation is different than it has ever been. I see it as more than a little blip on the screen of the powerful Rs and Ds., particularly since they come from the Opposite Wings and are getting massive attention...Trump more than Bernie beause, well, just because he's a freaking blowhard. He has no plan...just publicity and he's getting it. The Republians Lite or TP have only one plan. Gut the poor, cut taxes on the rich, etc.

Bernie has the best plan for the people and The Fact that neither claims the same old-same-old and are far outpacing said same olds in crowds, therefore, we may have a movement...Trump with his own money and Bernie with his $45 donations. What is common? Neither are using the Big Banks to fund them.

Try to think further than Hillary...it will make sense. In fact, both party's nominees are caught in the same trap...hands out for further favors. Regardless of what they say on The Trail.

Donald Trump is a member of the Corporations doing the buying.

Only Bernie Sanders is truly 'running' for office. He is going to the citizens and explaining his case. He is collecting campaign donations from the same people who will be voting for him.

Bernie is a candidate. The others are puppets doing the bidding of their financiers

others absolutely have to. He's finding his own financing, as is Bernie. In relation to the major parties, all of whom are bought and paid for because of campaign finance mayhem and redistricting, ad nausem.

Right now the Republican focus is Totally on Trump and they can't do one thing about it...none of them. He's crowding some of them off the debate stage.

Bernie is doing it differently. In fact he is the polar opposite of Trump,
Bernie doesn't care that he's half bald, it's now a meme...Trump does a combover with hairspray.
Bernie is older and sometimes wears rumpled suits. Trump always looks like he walked out of a men's store (sure he owns a few)
Bernie speaks steadily, clearly, slowly and convincingly. Trump speaks all over the verbal map off the top of his coiffed head.
Bernie has plans. Trump says he does .... many, many, many...but won't talk about them until he's elected
Bernie has held elective office with a long, liberal record. Trump has built towers and gambling places.

I could go on. But at both ends, it's easy to see their stark differences and the reasons why the outer, neglected voters of both party are attracted to them.
.
I am strong for Bernie...working on his campaign in a Red State

"...who called SOME illegal immigrants rapists and criminals..."

Nowhere in his pontification did Trump qualify his racist statements. In each case he painted all Mexican immigrants with his broad brush.

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists..."

Nope. No "some" in his tantrum. No qualifiers there at all.

After several statements painting all Mexicans with his wide brush.

And it isn't even a statement. Just an assumption.

I'm not criticizing any posters here. But I am criticizing the quote of how the media corrected his statements and put qualifiers in when the idiot himself claims the statements stand and need no correction.
