Pitbull to Donald Trump: ‘Watch Out For El Chapo’ (hotel boycott)

Pitbull got political, vowing to stay away from Donald Trump’s hotels and warning the multibillionaire presidential candidate to “watch out for El Chapo,” referring to the infamous Mexican drug lord who recently escaped from prison for the second time.
In an interview with Fusion, the Miami-born, Cuban-American hip-hop artist said Trump found a button in immigration in that he sees gets people “mad and hot, and he’s gonna keep pushing it.”

Asked whether he would ever stay at one of Trump’s hotels, Pitbull said he would not, “due to the fact of what has been said.”
“I just can’t. I can’t, for the simple fact that you’re speaking about a culture that I ride, I die for. And this culture is the only reason I’m having this conversation right now,” he said. Later Thursday, Pitbull lashed out at Trump when he accepted his award for Top Urban Artist at an awards ceremony televised by Univision, the same network that dropped the Miss USA pageant after Trump’s remarks.

In his acceptance speech, Pitbull urged Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio to get it together “because Donald Trump can’t be president.” “I’m not a politician, I’m a musician, but more than that I’m a Latino,” Pitbull said in Spanish. “So Donald Trump, for all the Latinos here and abroad … be careful with El Chapo!” The last comment would appear to be a reference to Trump ramping up his personal security after an unverified account claiming to be the escaped drug lord sent a threatening tweet to him. Trump had previously tweeted that he “would kick his ass.”
A Trump aide said earlier this week that the FBI is investigating the threat and its origins.
