Carson Not Sure McCain is War Hero

Source: The Daily Beast

Presidential candidate Ben Carson followed Donald Trump at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa Saturday and similarly questioned whether John McCain was a war hero or not. After dodging a question about Trump's remarks specifically, Carson said "It depends on your definition of a war hero." When he was questioned further, Carson simply said "he's done some good things."

I'm a veteran and am inclined to follow a group on Facebook which discusses my former occupation and dick jokes. When a fellow vet brought up the subject of Trump talking smack about McCain there was a huge rush of vets defending Trump and claiming what he said was being distorted by MSM. Then there was a bunch of talk about McCain screwing over veterans. These people are beyond help. There is so much I could tell you about the stupidity of some of these knuckleheads. I get embarrassed when people thank me for my service.

War heroes do things that are above and beyond the call of duty, usually to save their buddies.

McCain was a halfassed pilot who got shot down, and spent years at the "Hanoi Hilton."

He betrayed the vows he made to his wife, and he gave us Princess Sparklemoose and her brood.

He was getting kickback from Lincoln Financial during S&L meltdown. Once caught he attempted to save himself by fighting for election reform.

It is all political theater. The GOP doesn't care about Vets.

And that is just his military career.

trump is right he just did a poor job of saying it. It was foolish of him to even go there he had nothing to gain politically from saying it.

McCain deplores anti-Kerry ad

WASHINGTON — Republican Sen. John McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam, called an ad criticizing John Kerry’s military service “dishonest and dishonorable” and urged the White House on Thursday to condemn it as well.
