Clinton hits Bush, Walker for 'full-on assault on women’s health'

By Peter Sullivan

Hillary Clinton slammed 2016 rivals Jeb Bush and Scott Walker over their calls to defund Planned Parenthood on Monday, calling the GOP-led effort a "full-on assault on women’s health."

"Republicans like Scott Walker and Jeb Bush are calling to defund Planned Parenthood, the country’s leading provider of reproductive healthcare, and they are joined by Republicans in Congress who will not waste a minute in voting to make that happen," the Democratic front-runner says in a video message.

"If this feels like a full-on assault on women’s health, that’s because it is," she adds.

The Senate is voting Monday on a bill to cut off funds for the organization in the wake of controversial videos. .................

If this doesn't move people to vote on Nov 2016, what the heck will.
Next up..Deny women of their right to vote. You know they are itching to create a reason to do so, as with PP.

I hope people take the 2016 election damn serious.

Republicans in the Senate & Congress must be voted out.

but since it's only August 2015 I doubt this will move people to vote in November 2016. It certainly will move me, but I suspect most of us who visit DU daily are not typical voters.

I recall the government shutdown of October 2013. Lo and behold, the GOP actually made gains in 2014--including taking the Senate! Sadly, most Americans have dim memories when it comes to party politics.

Let's hope our candidates will do a much better job of messaging and reminding voters of GOP zealotry and insanity in 2016 and communicate the debilitating effects conservative public policy on their lives. Our candidates and eventual nominee needs to relentlessly pound this and other messages into the psyche of the electorate (just like Republicans pound lies over and over, repeatedly, into people's heads until their message becomes an artifact of faith). I note that Bernie is doing an excellent job of this on the economic injustice front.

Listen to the constituency
Analyze their statements and comments
Roll out policy statements and plans one by one methodically

Now she has a list of names. The people who voted to defund, although most were a given.
Now Team Hilary can take it to the State level and campaign for anyone running against those who voted to defund.

Good Luck to those who tried to pass this atrocity.
Hillary has your number..

These women are strong opponants who are needed to change the power structure.
This link is to their donation page, but gives a great list of who these power women are.
Pretty impressive group of ladies!

EDIT: Hope Emily's List can find a strong woman to run against sellout Manchin after today.

This is an issue Hillary can win on. Republican men think telling women what they should do with their bodies and their healthcare is a good idea? Good luck with that.
