Despite calls to stop using her story in his campaign, Gov. Scott Walker on Wednesday again cited a Wauwatosa English teacher to make a point about his efforts to roll back public employee unions, in the process misstating the circumstances of her employment.
At the New Hampshire Education Summit, Walker told the story of award-winning teacher Megan Sampson who was laid off by the Milwaukee School District in 2010.

But Sampson has publicly called for the governor to stop using the story most recently in June.
I do not enjoy being associated with Walkers political campaign, Sampson wrote in an email to The Associated Press in June after Walker used her story in an editorial he wrote about education.
And in 2011, Sampson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel she was uncomfortable with her name and story being used by Walker as the face of Act 10.

This unit will ignore any request for any action that fails to satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
Will it advance ScottBot's political ambitions?
Will it benefit ScottBot's dark money donors/masters?
Will it impair government's ability to promote the common good?
And just for Nixonian whimsy: Will it ratfuck those on ScottBot's "enemies list"?

2. A Scottbot must follow all orders given by the Tea Party, except those that violate the first law.
3. A Scottbot must promote its own agenda, unless it violates the first and second laws.

(11,238 posts)Yes, both he and Christie like to "stand up" to teachers, to show they're not intimidated by teachers, because they are intimidated by teachers. Must have had some baaad experiences with teachers when they were little boys.

(26,626 posts)he is a total tool of his religion and his billionaire backers, and even the Kochs are more progressive on some issues. But what's important is his complete willingness to gut unions, taxes, environmental protections, and safety nets with no remorse or conscience. The perfect sociopath with God on his side. Onward Christian soldier.
