Others joining Ingersoll Rand union protest Tuesday

Source: Buffalo News

Ingersoll Rand and the union representing striking workers at its Cheektowaga plant will meet for talks again Tuesday, more than two weeks after the walkout began.

About 240 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers went on strike Aug. 10 after a contract extension expired.

The company and union, along with a federal mediator, are next scheduled to meet on Thursday.

“We respect the negotiation process, want to see it continue and are hopeful for a resolution to bring our team together again,” said Misty Zelent, a company spokeswoman.
