Christie: Clinton Is 'A Disgrace' For Comparing GOPers To Terrorist Groups
Source: TPM
Republican presidential candidate and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Sunday called Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton "a disgrace" for comments she made about Republicans Thursday.
Clinton compared Republicans to terrorist groups when it comes to women's rights during a campaign stop.
"Extreme views about women? We expect that from some of the terrorist groups. We expect that from people who dont want to live in the modern world," Clinton said. "But its a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States."
Christie responded to her comments on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. "Well, there's a uniter, isn't it? Comparing Republicans to terrorist groups. There's a real uniter. That's the woman you want sitting in the Oval Office to bring our country back together," Christie told Wallace. "That's a disgrace, and she's a disgrace. She's a disgrace for saying that, for comparing Republicans to terrorist groups. Don't let her go on that, Chris. That's awful."

(675 posts)Those people are terrorists. The tea party is a hate group. Republicans are literally a dying breed, immigration and the demographics associated will make the USA a one party country just like California is now a one party state. The republicans are left with nothing but fear and hate as the base clings to an admitted racist in Donald Trump. Hillary was also brilliant in portraying the repukes as fascists wanting to load people on rail cars. She needs to keep these attacks up daily, keep on the offensive and quit responding to any questions about the email nonsense.

I like that from Sanders/O'Malley and now, hopefully sustained...from Clinton as well.
I will Always remember this from 2009 and I Do NOT understand why this wasn't criminal!

(14,586 posts)they come back and call HIM divisive? That Republican lie has been out there for years: oh, Obama is the most divisive president ever. But they are the ones who forced the sequester, obstructed EVERYTHING Obama tried even if it was a GOP idea in the first place, shut down the government and threatened default on the debt. And, Obama's issued fewer executive orders than Bush or Reagan, but they say he's a dictator....
This is the right wing lie machine, and it is more destructive to this nation than nearly any other factor.

(403 posts)I remember his first State of the Union, the right side of the aisle folded their arms collectively and opposed everything he said, even their own agenda. The face of hate in this country is every Republican face you see. They remind me of the weeds in my lawn. They want it all and they do not contribute in any way to the beauty of my lawn. They are the weeds in my garden. I will never get anything of worth from them, and they will kill all of the productive plants, the desired plants, and the beautiful plants.

(24,710 posts)I consider that to be a threat, so before you perform your daily rant--------------take a real good look in the mirror and see what people see as a bully and a threat, when you are challenged.
And you want to know when it started, under the likes of McCarthy, moving forward, from Nixon, Goldwater, Reagan, Bush's, Walker and now you and others of your ilk past and present in your party.
Just think, Cliven Bundy is a criminal terrorist (if you look at what he does and says) and one guy in the fix noise crowd (Hannity) supports this criminal terrorist and his band of right wingers pointing guns at federal agents and the local sheriff-------------that to me is terrorism---------what do you think.
So before you run around trying to save your overloaded clown car ride--------really look at your party in the mirror------you really are a bunch of neo-fascists right wing terrorist when it comes to the murder of doctors providing services to woman, gutting food stamps, gutting labor laws to make it more dangerous for work environment, there is so much more, I just don't have the room to write them all just;
"shut up and sit down"

(30,058 posts)When I read about states enacting or trying to enact laws where a woman who has a miscarriage can be jailed, it is the same terror. When laws are enacted to prevent women from having access to abortion after rape or incest, it is terror. When the republican party is working overtime to defund Planned Parenthood and taking away access to women's health care, it is not a good feeling the republicans are working hard to prevent the war on women from continuing. When we allow cults such as Yearning for Zion to continue where young girls are abused by old men, it is terror. When we do not have a Congress who recognize the need for sensible gun laws and we have people shot in theaters, shopping centers, churches, during arrests, pumping gas into their vehicles, doing interviews, and let us not forget the street violence and murders by guns, this is terror. The Republicans push for these issues, they need to wear the banner "I am responsible for these actions".

(2,548 posts)The most rabid supporters of The Donald have been extremists like the KKK, neofascists and end timers. Your party shops for supporters who think women are property, that black people aren't human, that Hispanics are all criminals, that poor people are just lazy, that anyone who can't afford to pay for private health insurance should just die, that war is good, that hell awaits any who fail to follow a specific religious ideology (the "my Godis bigger than his God" military theory), that LGBT folk should be killed, that the mentally ill should be allowed to have concealed weapons, that education and critical thinking are abominations, that the Conferderate flag is somehow a symbol of good and right, that only poor people should pay taxes, that even while treading water think climate change is a hoax. The list could go on! Now you, sir, want to mark Hispanics as if they were fedex packages, remember the tattoos put on Jews in Nazi Germany, nothing to be concerned about right? You just wanted to keep track of them is all, what's the harm in a little number? If any other country did the things mentioned you would be screaming "terrorist" from the roof tops in indignation and condemnation. Are you really sure she doesn't have a point?

(2,004 posts)These people are completely evil. Forcing the entire country to follow the religious beliefs of some is terrorism. The forced birth fanatics want to impose their beliefs on everyone. This group has resorted to killing, bombing, intimidation, theft and trespassing to get their religious beliefs forced onto everyone. Just read that they are now trespassing and stealing the records of women at clinics.
The reason the GOP is screaming so loud about this is it hit home. She needs to hit them harder.
Good for Hillary.

Predators/ terrorist the same. Bait & switch ='s predator ='s terrorist. People are terrorized by those predators and those predators are terrorists.
Terrorism did not originate in mid eastern countries. As a U.S. district attorney in New Jeresy surely Christie learned quite a bit about that and himself in fact.
He crossed the line before he was officiated by title. And thats awful.

(14,176 posts)But I hope not. I can't stand that the Dems do not say more of this. Or when they do it is usually followed up by an apology. The GOP are terrorists because they are terrorizing segments of the population. Own it.
One thing that a big segment of the population likes is bold, even if over-the-top-to-make-a-point statements by leaders. Of course you will lose some over-sensitive people, who insist the Dems always never stoop to "gutter politics", that they are too good for that etc.. But the fact is that IF a statement is made like that..you lose even more if you retract it, because now you have lost respect from both ends. The Rethugs have known this for decades.
