Texas Sheriff Investigates #BlackLivesMatter As Motive For Deputy’s Death

Source: ABC13.com & The Atlanta Daily World-2 hours ago

Shannon J. Miles, 30, was charged Saturday with the shooting death of Harris County sheriff’s deputy Darren Goforth, 47, and Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman is investigating the “dangerous” rhetoric of the #BlackLivesMatter movement as Miles’ motive, ABC13.com reports.
“Our system of justice absolutely requires that law enforcement be present to protect our community,” Hickman said during a press conference. “So any point when the rhetoric ramps up and calculated, cold-blooded, assassination of police officers happen, this rhetoric has gotten out of control.
“We’ve heard Black lives matter, all lives matter, well, cops’ lives matter, too,” Hickman added. “So why don’t we just drop the qualifier and say ‘lives matter.’”
Harris County DA Devon Anderson spoke next, saying, “It is time for the silent majority in this country to support law enforcement…there are a few bad apples in every profession, that does not mean there should be open warfare declared on law enforcement…what happened last night is an assault on the very fabric of society.”
According to Hickman, Miles had had no prior interaction with Goforth, before walking up while the deputy pumped gas and shot him 8-10 times in the back.

Even if this were true -- that it's just a few bad cops -- then if all the other cops
are so fucking good, WHY do the bad apples always get protected and never prosecuted
for murders & abuses they commit against the public, esp. the Black & Latino sectors.???????

Why aren't they pointing out the 'dangerous' rhetoric of the racist right wing and supremacists groups (that many officers belong to)?

If law enforcement wants support, they should start acting like professionals (including in their speech) and stop beating and killing people.

You'd see a white sheriff saying, "Now why'd yew want to come come down heya and stir things up? Things was quiet until you outside agitators went and got everyone all riled up. Yew just don't get that OUR blacks* aren't like the black folks up North."

Back then we could shame them. But these folks have learned from that, think they are in the right, and are, mostly, immune to our consultations. Their hearts will never change, and now they are going on the offensive.

It might be goin' on for awhile.

They were in public offices from the schools to the mayor. Police were a favorite. Best way of making a KKK terrorist act go unpunished was to have those charged with upholding the law behind it. The classic, "If a cross is burning on your lawn chances are good the sheriff you called is the one who struck the match".

Instead of focusing on catching the person responsible for Killing the deputy, the county used the deputy's murder to slam BLM. I guess 'the few bad apples' all just happened to be speaking at that press conference.

Now the M$M floodgates will open for the new meme: BLM responsible for the escalation in racial tension.
It will be framed as a disingenuous question, but the message will be clear; Black anger is the problem, not racist paranoid cops.
