Palin eyeing energy secretary in potential Trump administration

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)Sarah Palin knows the position she wants in a Donald Trump administration: Energy secretary.

"I think a lot about the Department of Energy, because energy is my baby: oil and gas and minerals, those things that God has dumped on this part of the Earth for mankind's use instead of us relying on unfriendly foreign nations," she told CNN's Jake Tapper in an interview that aired Sunday on "State of the Union."

But Palin, the GOP's 2008 vice presidential nominee, might be the first potential cabinet member to openly speak about dissolving their office.

"I'd get rid of (the Energy Department). And I'd let the states start having more control over the lands that are within their boundaries and the people who are affected by the developments within their states. If I were in charge of that, it would be a short-term job, but it would be ... really great to have someone who knows energy and is pro-responsible development to be in charge."

I have no idea what Trump would do for a cabinet, if the USA were crazy enough to elect him. He might not want a publicity seeker like Palin completing with him. He might have vague ideas of competence being necessary, which would rule her out (after all, he needs the USA to remain in existence for his wealth and publicity seeking). Or he might, as you say, just appoint her to troll the world.

Sarah Palin's Calif. drought solution: 'Build more reservoirs'

WRITTEN BY SCOTT SUTTON POSTED: 07/01/2015,

While everyone was caught up in the grossness that was the Duggar scandal last month, the world missed Sarah Palin’s groundbreaking ideas on how to fix California’s historic drought.

On the Sarah Palin Channel — which, believe it or not, people actually pay $99.99 per year for — she released a video clip of her describing how perfect California is except for one thing: its politicians.

“California has been suffering from a long-term drought; most people are aware of that,” Palin says in the video.

“Governor Brown’s answer, though, to that drought is to impose a 25% water reduction on California’s cities and towns. His main target are [sic] those really nice landscapes and lawns on golf courses and campuses and cemeteries and private property, your yards! Well, as long as those, long showers that maybe you take. [sic]”

(For the record, Gov. Jerry Brown said he’s been skipping showers whenever possible to help out the cause.)

Yes, it is too bad that California’s 860 golf courses, which use an average of 90 million gallons of water apiece per year, have to cut back.

So Palin thought of a brilliant solution:

“You might ask, though, why don’t they just fix the infrastructure problem, why don’t they just build more reservoirs and plants? After all, California is a coastal state. It’s got a whole ocean right there, water all around ya.”

Because, yes, building reservoirs to store the water you don’t have makes perfect sense.

And as for the “water all around ya” part, Palin goes on to say that because California is “America’s petri dish for left wing lunacy,” those darned “environmentalists” have been preventing the construction of more desalination plants in the state, pointing out the fact that said plants do, in fact, need a whole bunch of energy to operate.

Let’s fact check that really quick. According to this SF Gate story published in February (that’s a few month before Palin recorded this video message) 17 desalination plants are already in the planning stages in California.

However, the plants cost anywhere from $150 million to $1 billion apiece, which will surely eat up a large chunk of the state’s projected $4.2 billion surplus very quickly.

So no, environmentalists and the Left have not been stopping the state from building desalination plants, they just simply cannot be built overnight.

Today is the first anniversary of the Palin Family Drunken Brawl. Go to this link to read all about it:
http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2015/09/remembering-anchorage-brawl-has-it-been.html

Short version:
-- The Palin family loaded up into a stretch Hummer limo to crash the birthday party of one of Todd's friends, just before midnight, 6 Sep 2014.
-- Daddy Todd, Mother Sarah, Son Track, Daughters Bristol and Willow -- all of them shit-faced knee-walking drunk. In the limo also was 5-yr-old Tripp.
-- Upon arrival, Track confronted a couple of women whom he said were talking trash about his slutty sister. Their husbands intervened, Track threw a few punches, and the husbands whomped on him.
-- Bristol started punching the host, who tried to avoid her, finally, he and a couple of friends threw her to the ground and dragged her away.
-- Highlights of the police audio and photos include: Bristol standing in the street, peeing down her leg; Sarah shrieking "Do you know who we are?"; someone in the crowd replying "This ain't no damn hillbilly reality show!"; Bristol dropping one F-bomb after another; Sarah shrieking at Bristol "Don't curse at the cops!"; Bristol sobbing at the cops "They broke my f###ing $300 sunglasses!! My face is covered in beer and makeup!"; Todd standing, shirtless and bleeding, in the street throwing punches at his father.

Palin Christian values on display.

When she first was introduced to the nation, while the thought of her as VP scared me shitless, I acknowledged that she was pretty but now, it seems things have taken a toll on her and it manifests in her face and it's developed this ugliness.

The biggest hole Colbert and Jon Stewart being off air has left is having guests on who are not these media figures, who actually have some knowledge and depth of issues. Of course it helps doing this with comedic bent. Our MSM always broadcasts these same people, does not educate, does not let us know what real issues are. The same talking heads again and again, and then of course giving media air to idiots like Palin.
