HAMPTON, Illinois -- ............
Promising to enforce labor laws and protect pensions, Clinton railed against the Republican "mantra" against unions and said she would make them "pay a price at the polls for treating Americans like second class citizens." Clinton's voice was strained from days of back-to-back campaigning.
...................
Mary Jo Auiff, who works in sales in Bettendorf and said she has a strong family connection to unions, said she backs Clinton "150 percent" despite "all the scandal going on."
"Of course, everybody's gonna talk about it but whatever she did, she did correctly," said Auiff, who was dressed head-to-toe in red, white and blue.
She added, "I know what she stands for."
During her two-day swing through the state, Clinton also met with members and retirees of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, a union which represents 1.6 million public service employees. The meeting was closed to the press, but Clinton said later at an organizing event in Newton that one of the topics discussed was wage theft, which she mentioned at almost every one of her other stops................

I was thinking the same when I saw this headling.

What is this irresponsible headline, "Fighting" for votes?
Substitute ANY candidate's name for Ms. Clinton. It's SHAMEFUL!

(1,668 posts)Hillary Clinton will fight for corporations. That is who is paying for her campaign. That is who she is.
What's next? Trump fighting for Latino immigrants?

(7,384 posts)if/when Sanders wins the primaries what money he decides to take or what route he uses to finance his campaign against big money republicans. I would love to see him stay away from big business contributions like he has but I also cant see him raising anywhere as much money as the Republicans do and that can make a big difference.

(1,668 posts)She's got around a billion dollars, right? What's she going to do with that money when she loses the primary?

(5,751 posts)Knowing that the media blackout of Bernie will allow her to claim these ideas as her own. Simply pathetic.

(11,631 posts)She is a democrat running for the democrat nomination and everyone knew she was going to run long before B. Sanders decided to go for the democrat nomination himself.
Sec. Clinton has been criticized in the past for being too liberal or too far to the left of some of her husband's positions.
The "media blackout" of Bernie is also nonsense.

(5,751 posts)about Bernie. If HRC eats a cookie or drinks a beer, it's talked about 24/7 along with the tRump bullshit.
And yes, she is trying DESPERATELY to use all of Bernie's ideas as a blunt against Bernie. When we get to the debates (if we ever have any) that won't work anymore.

I wonder why that might be?

(2,975 posts)How's she going to square that with her wallstreet funders?
I'm sure we'll see a magnificent plan AFTER she's elected, WHEN she gets to it, ONCE she's taken care of the first of the first, you know, her gravy train.

Goes right along with another article about how her campaign is shifting to a different route this month. We've got your number, so to speak Hill but it's still just a Weathervane.
Been there, done that...and no thank you.
I'll stick with the candidate that has a lifetime track record, is honest and authentic...he doesn't have to change course.
Go Bernie!
