Biden to Colbert: Not Yet Ready to Commit to 2016

Source: NBC news

In an interview with comedian Stephen Colbert set to air late Thursday night, Vice President Joe Biden suggested he is not yet emotionally prepared to run for president in 2016, as he is still reeling from the death of his son earlier this summer.

"I don't think any man or woman should run for president unless, number one, they know exactly why they would want to be president and, number two, they can look at folks out there and say, 'I promise you, you have my whole heart, my whole soul, my energy, and my passion to do this,'" Biden told the Colbert, who recently took the helm of on CBS' "The Late Show" from longtime host David Letterman.

"And I'd be lying if I said that I knew I was there," Biden continued, according to a pool report.

And the world and media need to stop freaking hounding the man that lost his son.

They're all a bunch of heartless bastards. I know what it's like to lose a father, I can't fathom the pain of losing a son.

Please, just let him finish mourning the loss of his son. I can't imagine the pain he's going through, but I do respect that he's still grieving for the loss of his son. Who wouldn't be?

That is a terrible burden to bear, that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Oh, wait, my worst enemy is Dick Cheney, so..... never mind!

the dnc is so terrified of one of the progressive candidates actually winning, they want biden in there to take over if/when hillary tanks

he needs to be strong and tell them no if it is no. if he is not ready, they shouldnt pressure him. besides, joe should not be anyone's plan b. it is an insult to his many years of service. not that the dnc cares about his feelings or his dignty

except that he voted for the Iraq War.

I wonder how many sons died in that war.
