Unfortunately the whole international system needs fixing before we'll be in very good shape, imo.

I hope she's ok.

Coughing a long time would give one pause.
My spouse had a 15-minute coughing spell; walked to car, took a 4+ hour bus trip, drove home. Then I noticed he was slurring his words. Turns out he had a minor stroke, and did have some lasting effects from it.

Perhaps she had a TIA. I hope not.

My mom had one before a massive one killed her. It was a race between cancer and cholesterol, and the stroke won. But one can function after a minor stroke--it just depends on what area was affected. How well one recovers (if at all) is always different with every victim.
