Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) repeatedly interrupted Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards as she tried to answer his questions Tuesday in front of the House Oversight Committee.
Richards' testimony was part of an investigation into the business' practices after sting videos were released that allegedly showed company executives discussing the sale of fetal tissue.
Chaffetz started off by asking Richards about funds that were sent overseas.
"Do any of these funds go to the Democratic Republic of the Congo?" Chaffetz said early in the back-and-forth.
"Congressman, let me tell you " Richards said before Chaffetz interrupted her.

(46,757 posts)It's the closest thing that he can do to put a woman in her place when the cameras are rolling. He's showing that her opinion doesn't really matter. And, of course, trying to rattle her.

(63,912 posts)the only problem is that Richards is very well focused and sharp. She was probably warned that there would be an attempt to make her very mad and then they could say she was an "angry woman."
Well, that sure didn't work, did it?

(46,757 posts)Thank goodness she had a reliable team to back her up.
If it hadn't been for her fact-checker, that idiot Congressman would have had the soundbite he was looking for.
Now, the Democratic netizens should launch a strong offense, asking why that Congressman said that slide came from planned parenthood, when it didn't.

Now that I'm older than a lot of them, I would have said something like, "Sir, who was your mother and did she not teach you basic manners?"
