Judge Drops Saudi Arabia From Sept. 11 Lawsuit

Source: Associated Press

Saudi Arabia was dismissed Tuesday as a defendant in lawsuits brought by the families of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks by a judge who said lawyers had failed to show sufficient evidence linking the country to the attacks.

U.S. District Judge George Daniels said in a written ruling that lawyers for the plaintiffs had failed to show facts sufficient to overcome Saudi Arabia's sovereign immunity. He also dismissed as a defendant the Saudi High Commission for Relief of Bosnia & Herzegovina on the grounds that the charity is an instrument of Saudi Arabia and thus covered as well by sovereign immunity.

The judge wrote that evidence would have to show that Saudi Arabia or its officials took actions to support the terrorist plot. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were citizens of Saudi Arabia.

Among evidence rejected by the judge as insufficient were the recent claims of a man who became known as the "20th hijacker," Zacarias Moussaoui. Moussaoui claimed a Saudi prince helped him financially in 2001 when he was studying at a flight school in Norman, Oklahoma, and also funneled a large amount of money to some of the 19 men who hijacked planes on Sept. 11.

is most likely classified so it's a catch-22. The evidence is needed but it's classified so you have no case.

Our legal system is truly messed up with hypothetical theoritical nonsense like soverign immunity. Nobody should be immune from justice. No country should be immune from crimes it has done. Giving a country or a person immunity from crime leads to no justice and no peace.

They have an eye witness. Everybody knows the Bin Ladens were extremely wealthy. Most of the terrorist leaders come from wealthy family are back by enormous wealth and even allowed to sell oil. How can the sale of oil not be monitored and not be traced? We know who is funding them we know we could stop it. Just like they knew about 9-11 and they could of stopped it.

Now our law enforcement create the terrorist plots just to stop them. Look keep sending us money be afraid and send us money.

Anytime anything happens always follow the money. War profiteers and the MIC are criminals. The Saudi government is criminal. Our leadership around the world is corrupt and criminal. Profiting on other peoples misery. Hoarding wealth. Exploiting workers. Exploiting consumers exploiting citizens and it is all because of soverign immunity, too big to fail and too big to jail.

Should we be suspicious of U.S. District Judge George Daniels? I'd say he's a bought and paid for shill for the Saudi's.

The Saudis hired Baker-Botts, James Baker's law firm, to defend them in that lawsuit. They certainly got their money's worth.

or our government's expedited rush to get the bin Laden family home and safe away from the (deserved) American's outrage towards them. Way to go, Judge George Daniels. I bet you feel like a TRUE PATRIOTIC AMERICAN right now. with that boosted bank account, no doubt.

it's too bad we don't gather with pitchforks and burn you out of your house, tar and feather you these days, you crooked bastard.

Even the governments story leaves them responsible for ignoring warnings. Although it was a false flag operation, so it would be right to sue Bush/Cheney. They should actually be in jail.
